ABSTRACT

We are conducting a spectroscopic monitoring of O and WN -type stars in our Galaxy. Our main scientific goals are: (a) to search for radial-velocity variations indicative of orbital motion; (b) build a catalog of uniform radial velocities; (c) establish a first epoch for a future search for spectroscopic binaries; (d) compare the spectral types with those originally published 30-40 years ago in order to study long-term variability; (e) to publish the spectrogram of all the objects in the web version of the GOS catalog. In this work, we summarize some of our first results related to the search for radial-velocity variations indicative of orbital motion.
